回复:12楼 'winged' is an adjective that just means 'moving fast'... as for its etymology, maybe in the past people thought things with wings moved fast so they created the adjective form of 'wing', that is 'winged'....only my guess
回复:13楼 well, being the pedant that i am, i must say that "to be + status of being" doesn't sit very well with "ought to". "ought to" (as opposed to "ought to have") conveys a meaning of propriety or expectation regarding future events, so to follow that with a statement of present being is a bit odd. however, i am indeed concerning myself with unimportant details, so please excuse my pettiness..
