来自密苏里州圣路易市(St. Louis, Missouri)的Story of the Year，相信是
现在其中一队最勤力的乐队，原名为Big Blue Monkey的他们，成立於
97年，经过多年努力以及多次队员的变动，虽然於圣路易经常有演出
的机会，但仍然未能受到广泛注视．他们不断地创作，不断地演出，
不断印刷他们自己的 demo cd，直至偶然之下，其中一张 demo cd 於
02 年落在乐队 Goldfinger 的吉他手 John Feldmann 手中，并转交厂牌Maverick，Feldmann 亦邀请他们到南加州，跟 Goldfinger 一同演出，
队名亦改为现在的 Story of the Year，他们亦由当时开始，展开了他们
的旅程
