On Thursday, September 29th, a private screening was held at Huntington
Beach for a certain amount of chosen people to view the upcoming dance
film, "COBU 3D." The movie features South Korea and Asia's Star BoA Kwon
with "Dancing With The Stars" Derek Hough.
Fans who received the special invite to the private preview screening
reported that the screening was packed and not everyone was able to
enter, with many turned away at the door prior to the start of the film.
No camera, cell phones, or any kind of electronic device was allowed in
the arena, and therefore, no videos are expected to turn up from the
screening.
"COBU 3D" is set to be released next year in 2012 and is currently in
post-productions. BoA plays the Japanese character Aya, while Derek
Hough plays Donnie. Despite coming from two very different worlds,
including dance techniques, the two eventually fall in love, but must
overcome both their brother's hate for one another as they own two
rivaling underground clubs in New York.
Filming for the film began at the beginning of May and ended at the end of June this year. TVXQ's Yunho was known to have made a cameo appearance in the film, and BoA worked with top choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon, who are known for their amazing work on FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance," as well.
