Melo is a "used to". He used to drive to the lane hard. He used to dunk over opponents. He used to throw down alley-oops (see youtube). He unfortunately doesn't have the lift in his legs anymore. Even after the recent All-Star break, he still plays like he's scared to be injured. He no longer cares to hustle or play defense. What value does he currently bring to the Knicks franchise? Nobody is buying season tickets next year to watch Melo. If Melo wasn't the $65m poster boy he would ABSOLUTELY be benched right now, or sent down to the CBA to workout his hustle issues. Melo needs to shape up or ship out. Period.
