Over the past few months, Mariah Carey has documented her recording sessions in the studio by tweeting photos. Though we know she is set on releasing a new album, will it be this year?“I’ve started writing songs for a new album, which I hope will come out in 2012,” she tells‘Shape’ magazine. “Getting back in the studio and making music again — which I truly love doing — is the best way to end this crazy year”. I’m not going to lie. I’d be slightly gutted if the album didn’t come out this year. But as Christina Aguilera pointed out, quality albums take time especially when you personally get involved in the music (something Mariah is also known for). I can’t wait to hear new music from MC!
