A consortium headed by former Sheffield United chief executive Charles Green have had an offer accepted for Rangers.Rangers administrators Duff and Phelps confirmed on Sunday morning that the group fronted by Green had been given the nod.
Mr Green said he would work to preserve Rangers' history. His consortium will pay £8.5m to Rangers' creditors and he confirmed that he had bought Craig Whyte's shares in the club for £1.
