In Chapter Two,the writer stated slowly and clearly the two characters' relationship.One was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and lived in the most beautiful house in the district ,while the other one was the survant , spending his entire life in the mud shack.It seemed that the only similarity between them is their motherless childhood,with the more humiliating way of losing his mother for Hassan.His mother ran off with a clan of traveling singers and dancers.However,in spite of the humble birth of Hassan and laughter from other people ,Amir still protected Hassan in his own tender way.Then after Hassan lost his mum,he had the same nursing woman with Amir.What left me a deep impression is,while the first words spoken by Amir was Baba,it was Amir that Hassan first learned to speak.And the story formally started from those first words.

Nevertheless,the close friendship between Amir and Hassan still changed with the time passing by.On the day when the orpanage funded by Amir's father opened,Amir refused to invite Hassan with the thought of " I wanted Baba all to myself. ",from then Amir's thought began to change gradually just because of his jealousy.

Never mind the exhilarating memory they have,Amir never thought of Hassan as his friend, like his father did to Ali.Then Amir began to create his own story under the invisible encouragment of Hassan.It was Rahim Khan that taught him what irony is and it was dramatically Hassan that taught him what another writing's objective-the Plot Hole-is.From then on the seed of his talent in writing sprouted.But Amir finally didn't finish the talk with Hassan.Because suddenly Afghanistan changed forever.

Fortunately,the gunfire turned out to be a bloodless coup.Then winter-the most beloved season in Kabul-came.After the plastic surgery fixed Hassan's harelip up,the breathtaking kite-fighting tournament was held.After a long tense time,Amir won the tournament at last, which he considered as the single greatest moment of my twelve years of life,for Baba was proud of him.

They say there is a brotherhood between people who've fed from the same breast. But Amir chose to withdraw when he had the chance to stop Assef from beating Hassan for Hassan protected the blue kite with his life.Where did the friendship go?Where did the brotherhood go?Was it truly fair that Amir won his father's being proud of him at the expense of losing a treasurable friendship?Of course not.Finally it turned out that the decision Amir made not only keep he and Hassan a distance in a way that bothered him as well as made him conscience-stricken, but also failed to advance the relationship between he and Baba.It was obviously that the loss outweighed the gain.

Moreover,to make himself feel better, Amir framed Hassan by planting his new watch and some money under Hassan's mattress.Though Hassan had known all the truth,he still chose to sacrifice for Amir,and begging his father Ali not to reveal the truth.Unexpectedly,Amir overlooked the deep brothership between Baba and Ali before Baba said that he forgave them,despite that theft was the most unforgivable sin for Baba.In the end,it was Hassan and Ali's insistence that made them step out of Amir's life,though Baba had made every effort to beg them to stay with him, even his tears.It was undoubtedly Amir himself the murderer that killed his life's joy and took away Baba's beloved brother at the same time,not to mention the indelible damage he did to Hassan and Ali.

In 1981,Kabul wasn't safe any more.No one could be trusted.People told on each other,for a fee or under threat.Baba and Amir had to move to Jalalabad to take refuge.During the journey,Baba even saved a woman he didn't know. Then they took Karim's truck and stayed in a rat-infested basement for his brither's broken-down truck.

Amir and his Baba had to adjust to their life in America,though Baba didn't do well in it.For Amir, America was a place to bury his memories.For Baba, a place to mourn his.Days were passing away one after another,Amir and Baba bought a shabby bus to sell the second-hand products they bought from other places at a higher price.It seemed that it would never change until Amir met his princess Soraya Taheri,daughter of one of Baba's friends.He made every effort to get close to Soraya.But the gap between them was too difficult to cross,it was Soraya's father and the gossip.But he had no chance to continue their relationship,for it happened so immediately that Baba caught a cold , followed by a spot on his right lung ,which was turned out to be a kind of cancer.Baba refused to have the chemo,and still kept on his business in the flea market.Baba's physical condition gradually became more and more terrible.

Even though,Baba still refused to get radiation treatment in order to protect his dignity.That night,Amir asked his Baba to do him a favor to ask General Taheri for his daughter's hand.Baba promised to do for one last fatherly duty.Lucky day came that General Taheri agreed the marriage.Then Soraya told Amir her secret,her past story.It reminded Amir of the callous things he did to Hassan.He envied Soraya for her courage to speak the secret out,which he didn't own.

A month later after the wedding,that night before going to sleep,Baba gave Soraya and Amir each a kiss.And after that,Baba never woke up.Baba was undoubtedly a helpful hero.He helped people though he barely knew them,and he was always ready to sacrifice himself for his beloved homeland.He attached more importance to dignity than any other.He gone away honourably.

Then in the summer of 1988,Amir's novel was going to be published,which meant that his dream had come true.
In June of 2001,Amir got a phone call and decided to visit sick Rahim Khan,the one who gave him courage to continue his dream.Amir didn't know the truth that Rahim Khan knew everything and was clear about what kind of people Amir was until Rahim Khan told him there was a way to be good again.

He knew about how Rahim Khan and Hassan spent this years,and from Hassan's letter,he knew that Hassan had become a proud father for his son Sohrab.Since the day they left,their homeland had experienced a large change.
From Rahim Khan's mouth,he also heard the sad news of the death of Hassan.He died for protecting the house of Amir.He died for Amir.All Amir could manage after hearing the heart-breaking news was to whisper "No. No. No."over and over again.Rahim Khan asked Amir to go to Kabul to bring Sohrab-Hassan's son-here,to an orphanage.

However,the surprising things hadn't ended.Hassan,the one Amir thought as a poor Hazara servant,the one who grew up with Amir brotherly,was proved to be his blood brother.In the end,Amir made up his mind to find the little part of Hassan in Kabul.He decided to walk on the way,the way to be goog again.
