【as】
1.0 as在定语从句中构成
① the same +先行词+as
表示同一类事物
eg:I have bought the same book as you did last week.
(这里如果将as换为that则表示同一个东西)
②so/such+先行词+as
eg:He is such aperson as everybody shows respect for.
③引导非限制性定语从句，理解为“正如……”
eg:As is known to us all,the earth goes round the Sun.
2.0 as在状语从句中的用法
①引导时间状语从句，译为“一边……一边……”
eg:He was laughing as he was having his meal.
②引导原因状语从句，一般指显而易见或者已为人所知的原因。
eg:As the weather is so bad ,we have to delay our journey.
③引导让步状语从句，需要将句中的形容词或者动词等提前构成形式上的倒装。
eg:Try as I might,I couldn't lift the stone.
Child as he is ,the boy knows everything.
Hard as he works,he couldn't succeed.
④引导方式状语从句，通常位于句首，译为“正如……”“就像……”
eg:As water is to fish.so air is to man.
Always do to others as you would be done by.

【when】
1.0 引导先行词为表示时间的名词的定语从句，when在句中做状语。
eg:I will. never forget the day when(＝on which) I met you.
when和where在极少情况下可以做介词宾语。(这一点要慎重使用。。。)
eg:The baby is due in May,by when the new house should be finished.
2.0状语从句
①时间状语从句

②原因状从表“既然”
It was foolish of you to take a taxi when you could easily walk there in five minutes.
【while】
除了时状，还可以用于引导让步状从，译为“尽管……”
eg:While he was respected,he was not liked.
引导条件状从，译为“只要……”
eg:There will be life while there is water and air.
作并列连词时译为“然而……”
eg: He is a worker while I am a doctor.

【can&could】
1.0 can可以表示偶然发生的可能性，译为“一时可能会”
It can be quite windy there,especially in spring.
2.0 can have done 结构表示推测，仅表示可能发生。
could have done 指“本来可以发生(但实际上没有发生)”,即虚拟语气←_←
If I had more time,I could go with you tomorrow.
3.0 can /could not 表示不可能，前者语气更强烈。
—I saw Mary in the park yesterday.
—It can't be her.Because she left for USA.
4.0
cannot …too…和can never … too表示再怎么样也不为过
We cannot thank you too much for what you have done for us.
You can't be too careful to cross the road.
You can never do the work too well.
