Dogs
The main thing with Japanese dog emoticons is the ears. Use a U for big floppy ears, u for little ears or even V’s for ears as well. You can also use ∵ on either side of the mouth to make it look more dog like.

Japanese fish emoticons are somewhat different as they’re from the side and very much look like swimming fish. You can add or subtract brackets to change the length of the fish. It’s also very easy to make crabs as well.

The best characters to use for mouths are ones like ▽, ∀ or ω if you want to be cute. You can also add * or # for rosey cheeks or add waving arms with things like \, /, ヽ or ノ. Monkeys
You can easily make Japanese monkey emoticons by using @ symbols for ears. You can use pretty much any face and just add @ signs to make it into a monkey.
                          @(o・ェ・)@
                          └@(・ェ・)@┐
                          @(。・o・)@
                          @(o・ェ・o)@
                          @(/o・ェ・o)@/
                          @(*^ェ^)@

                            Moustache
You can basically take any of these emoticons and add a ┏ and a ┓ around the mouth to give it a somewhat Chinese looking moustache.
                            (´┏o┓‘)
                            ミ(´┏ω┓‘)/
                            (´┏・┓‘)
                            ( ̄┏Д┓ ̄°*)
                            ( ̄┏Д┓ ̄ )
                            ( ̄┏_┓ ̄)
                            (ノ≥┏Д┓≤)ノ
                            ( ̄┏∞┓ ̄)

In addition to this one painful looking Japanese emoticon you could probably add stars to angry looking emotions.
