Even as small kids, Kimi and Rami were very sportive. The difference between the boys was that Rami was tall and calm, while Kimi was tiny and always poised to win. The boys competed about everything. In wrestling, Kimi used to beat his 20 cm taller brother in a few seconds! Rami knew how important winning was to Kimi, and sometimes let him win in various things.
Kimi learned to talk around the time he turned three. Before that, Rami used to "translate" all the noises Kimi made, even to their nanny who babysitted them. When Kimi let out a small noise, Rami could say: "Oh, now he wants some milk!".
Kimi has always loved speed.
-Rami got a motorcycle when he was 3?years old. Kimi wanted to drive it too, but we couldn't let him do that before he turned five -- he would have want to drive with full speed all the time, which he later on did! recalls dad Matti.
As a kid everyone noted Kimi for two things: his extreme talent in sports and his poise to win. Kimi was good in every sport he ever tried: pole vaulting, long- and short distance running, icehockey, soccer, high jump, wrestling and later on in biking, snowboarding and acrobatics. His results were so impressing, that all the adults shook their head in disbelief.
