For this week’s seminar, conduct a short analysis of a digital or creative media artefact of your choice using any of the techniques of media literacy outlined in last week's class. You may, if you wish, focus on only one component of analysis (such as process, context, and framework). Comment on what your analysis shows you with respect to the content and nature of the artefact, and how it may compare to other forms of traditional media.

Compare these with our own or a ‘standard’ form of reference – this will help distinguish a critic’s personal review (which is based on a personal frame of reference) and a critical review using more formal techniques of media literacy.
Beyond this, Silverblatt (2008) offers a virtually exhaustive list for the interpretation of media messages. This enables an even more in-depth analysis of media outputs and artefacts. The key contents of this are: 1. Process a. Who is the media communicator? b. What is its function? c. What are other comparable forms of media? d. Who is the audience?
