Mark Fiore is primarily known as the main cameraman and video editor for Linkin Park, as well as some projects for other bands like Story of the Year traveling with the band. And he is also the former lead singer of the band Tasty Snax, and a lifetime friend of Phoenix. Notably, he's directed the video for Given Up and also has his name on many of the recordings and pictures about the band. Mark has a scheduled chat with LPUers in March 2010, only to have his thunder stolen from Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington opening a new Ustream account at the exact same time.
Mark usually spends the first 3 weeks and the last two weeks of a tour with the band, filming them at every opportunity. He cannot stay for the entire tour on account that he needs to be home in order to edit the footage. When LP is in the studio, he can spend one day a week with the band and then take the next 3 to 6 days editing that footage.
The effects for Given Up were achieved by playing the performances through multiple old TV's and jiggling the cords.
