I don’t even know where to start. My mind is racing in a million different directions. I guess I can start 700 days ago when I checked my email after my Speak Now Tour concert and saw that I won a meet and greet but it was too late. But that’s okay, I’m beyond happy everything worked out and they issued it for this tour.
We got to the stadium, and we noticed that there were merch tables outside the venue. I bought a tour book and bracelet since I already had a shirt. Shortly after, I went to will call to get my pass, but they couldn’t find it anywhere. So obviously I was freaking out and about to cry. About an hour later, they found it. I went inside and went straight to get a sample of Taylor. Then I raced to the section we were supposed to meet security at. In line, I was a mess. But these two wonderful, beautiful girls behind me kept me calm and made waiting in line for 54715275 hours so fun. They were so funny and i’m upset that I didnt get anything but their first names. Security checked us in and put on our wristbands. We were then lead backstage to wait in another line. Then mama swift walked by because she was giving people a tour. And Scott Borchetta was waiting outside of the doors with the proudest smile on his face. (Taylor revealed later in the show that her team was there to present her a 4x platinum record in canada thingy)
We walk in to this room and all I see is “Club Red" so I started BAWLING like an idiot!!!!! i touched everything in the room and snuck one tiny picture. I looked around the room slowly the entire time to let it sink in. I didnt want to forget a detail of that room.
Fast forward a few minutes, and it was the person in front of me’s turn. That’s when I started freaking out. One of Taylor’s helpers kept questioning me if I knew that person in front of me and if I was with her. I didn’t. She finally believed me. Then that girl finished…and it was my turn….
I couldn’t even walk up to her. I was frozen there just looking at her and smiling. She walked to me and hugged me and brought me over to the middle of the area. I had my ipod on voice record and I slipped it into my back pocket so this is some of what was said between us:
Taylor: Hello!! How are you?
Me: I just want to thank you for everything that you’ve done…(i was crying so i cant hear what i said over my tears oops)…i love you so much. I’m sorry I’m crying
Taylor: You’re fine, don’t worry!
Me:….somethingsomething idk i was crying…i got messages from fans that coudn’t be here today and haven’t had the chance to tell you things in person-
Taylor: Awwww
Me: and I put it in this video (show her) to-
Taylor: (BIG GASP)
Me: and it’s like the journey of your life and career. And you have to pinky promise me you’ll watch it
Taylor: That’s so sweet! Of course!
Me: And I also brought a letter
Taylor: That’s awesome! Thank you! (takes it from me and looks at the covers and disc) oh my gosh, that’s amazing
Me: umm i dont wanna like put this on you, so you don’t have to if you dont want to, but …
Taylor: no definitely of course
Me: do you think you could play Tied together with a smile if you havent already picked a song
Taylor: It’s okay..I like…I’ve tried playing songs that like nobody knows and sometimes people are like (AND THEN SHE PULLS OUT A SASSY AS HELL VOICE AND MOCKS PEOPLE) “what’s this one…" Cause when we’re playing a stadium and a lot of people don’t really know the song
Me: yeah, it’s no worries at all
Taylor: I don’t know what i’m gonna play, do you have any second favourites? like a song that you want to hear? (looks at the dvd)
Me: Look how much you’ve grown.
Taylor: Do you know what song? (giving me a smile like i know what you’re gonna pick)
Me: umm…can you play Tim McGraw
Taylor:uhh YEAH I CAN DO THAT (so excited my baby) Yeah. People know that one ahaha!
Me: That’s the first song I’ve heard of yours
Taylor: awww oh i’ll play that one then. This one’s for you.

We hug and i walk away, but she grabs my arms and holds me at an arms distance.
Taylor: You have the prettiest eyes . They’re just so pretty
Me: ME???
Taylor: Yeah the colour is beautiful
Me: YOU HAVE THE PRETTIEST BLUE EYES
Taylor: Thank you!
Me: No, Thank you. I love you
AND WE HUG AGAIN. There were a few things i took out, because i just want to share that moment with her. I hope you guys understand and respect that.
They then gave me an autograph and a card with a link and a code where we can pick up our photos. I went into the hall and CRIED and everyone was looking, but smiling at me. The girls behind me were like “you did great! i’m so proud of you!" and everyone was so extremely happy and it was amazing. Taylor really brings people together! Every concert of hers I’ve been to, I’ve made friends ahah.
Fast forward to the concert, I walked back to my AMAZING seat (i really wasn’t expecting to be that close when they changed my date) and my friend said “how was it" and i just cried so she laughed. then our friends from school walked by and i was telling them what happened and a whole group crowded around me to listen. Then I saw taylors dancer amanda and we all know her from schools and dance and stuff and it’s amazing to see her on tour with taylor. We stopped her and asked for a picture and she was so happy and her dad was so funny because he couldnt work the camera and her mom took a picture of us taking a picture. she was so proud. Then it was austin mahone and he was pretty good! Lots of energy and fangirls. AND FINALLY ED AND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH HE IS SO AMAZING I DIED AND HIS VOICE AND TALENT AND GUITAR AND ENERGY AND HE TALKS SO FAST AND HIS ACCENT . A lot of people didnt know his stuff, but i sang and rapped the entire time.
I raced to put on my concert shirt (i was wearing a white lace shirt for my picture) and get all the glowy stuff on.
THEN TAYLOR CAME ON AND EVERYHING WAS BEAUTIFUL. During 22, security lined my section. I stuck my arm out and security tried to say no, but she just was like “you know what, go have fun". Taylor went down my row and I grabbed my friends hand so she could reach her since we were both in the aisle. Taylor grabbed my hand and smiled at me like she remembered! after 22, her dancers walked by and mason said thanks to me because i was clapping, and amanda stopped to hug her parents :’)
THEN IT HAPPENED. All I heard was “meet and greet" and I screamed sooooooooooooo loud and i started crying. I missed the speech, but when I heard tim mcgraw, my friend and i DIED and i literally was bawling. That was by far the best moment of my life. I just found a video of it online and it turns out she said “I was in my meet and greet earlier today and this lovely girl asked me if I would play this song and I haven’t played it in a while, really. Especially not in Toronto” Taylor swift called me A LOVELY GIRL in front of a sold out stadium. How amazing!!!!!!!!!!! aisjfsidojfiodjf. Everyone held up their camera, or glow stick in the stadium. It was so beautiful.
flash forward a few songs and everything has changed (she was laughing with ed while singing it) and was teary during begin again and all too well and i died. She danced with a canadian flag on stage!!!!!! and she had a haircut and a new shirt! During treacherous, the stage didnt lift on time, and i could see her looking around. and during wanegbt she didnt slide down the stage, she kinda ran. I dont even know what else to say. I am in shock. " I will never forget this moment because in this moment, everything I have ever wanted just happened to me."
This is why Taylor is my favourite singer. I have NEVER EVER met anyone who is as sweet, genuine, and has a personality like hers. She makes you feel like she has known you for years! I know everyone says that, but it’s true! And yes…I finally got my hug…and yes…she does give the best hugs ever.
