A high school teacher in New York decided to honor her students by telling them how they had each made a difference to her and to their classmates. Then she presented each student with a blue ribbon imprinted with gold letters The read, "Who I Am Makes A Difference"
Afterward the teacher gave each student three more ribbons. She instructed them to go out and use the ribbons to or others. They were to follow up on the results and find out who had honored whom. Then the students would report back to the class in a week. One of the boys in class went to a junior executive in a nearby company. The boy honored the man for helping him with his career planning. The junior executive took the blue ribbon and placed it on his boss's jacket. As he gave him the last extra ribbon, he said, 'Would you do me a favor? Would you take this extra ribbon and use it to a now e somebody else?" That night the boss came home to his 14-year-old son and sat him down. He said, The most incredible thing happened to me today.
