在弄清各作品含义后，整张唱片的思路渐渐明朗。
The Propaganda的踌躇满志
The Truth 坚定与批判的态度
The Priest 否定、愤怒和崩溃
The Key 对自我精神出路的分析
The Channel 开始审视歌曲和乐队本身
The Story 总结了乐队和自己的沉浮
The Surrender 最后消沉和屈服
从踌躇满志到消沉屈服，这是乐队的命运，已经走下巅峰的LB在当时已经无人问津。从the truth的录影带来看，乐队已经完全放弃了任何的商业包装和宣传，干脆把最真实原始的一面呈现给那些仍然关注他们的少数人。
而从主观感性到客观理性，这是Fred认清现实的起起落落后，所发生的改变。在Fred的世界中，他真的开始体会到了失落、反思和理性。这是他在盛怒时期自嘲为巧克力海星时不曾有过的。从现在来看 Fred的确变了 他变得成熟稳重 他知道怎样与人为善。很久前看到国外一个人的话，他说他在08年（好像是）跟fred见过面 他的样子跟那些批评者的描述完全不同，非常友善和健谈。正是Fred的成熟 能让他再次跟wes 还有其他队员们融洽相处。乐队解散的那些年里，Fred也花了不少精力在电影上。完整地看过the Long Shots，这是很励志，同样也是很理智的一部好片。谁能想到当年的红帽子自大狂成了一部很正的电影的导演？
Fred Durst的一生是传奇的，也是戏剧性的。这张ep“勉强”诞生时，算是他人生的低谷和瓶颈，他在自我反思中，最后选择了surrender——— 也许你会说，那只是一首情爱上的慢歌，但fred向来注重专辑歌曲的排序，将一首消沉和屈服的歌作为结束，一定有它的含义。也许他再也不会成为一线的明星而备受关注和争议，LB也不会有逆袭的那一天，但是一切在今天看来，都很美好，他成熟了，他成了更好的人，相比起某首歌的大hit，这才是喜爱他的我们所真正愿意看到的。
回看之前人生的种种不成熟，我会羞得立刻远离那些“幼稚的抒发”，绝不想让别人甚至自己看见，但转念一想，其实不论幼稚的人或是成熟的人，都是在坚守着自己的原则构建起来的世界观——这本身并没有错。我们只是永远在成熟的路上。请相信，我们最终都会变成更好的人。

其实任何解读和感想都来源于自己的共鸣，人都只想抒发自己所看见的那部分。对于专辑的思路，歌曲的内容和排序，只有Fred他自己那时的理论才是官方，也许他总结得更深远，也许呢他就没想那么多 who knows~

本人深爱红辣椒 有幸读过由七木早翻译的scar tissue(主唱自传)后 才有些领悟到如何去真正爱上和理解一支乐队 所以非常感谢你能用这样的方式让我们能去更接近LB 你做的实在是太棒了 =D
