Part 1 【初三之前】 Before Junior 3
我来自【南京外国语学校（南外）】，这里的初中每级共12个班约700人，其中有450名优秀的统招生（包括我）及250名交钱进的较差生。高中部对本校生统招340人，每次大考中第340名的分数被我们称为【“线”】。
南外各班学霸云集，我们9班尤其如此，60人中一般有50人能“上线”，七八人（最多的一次11人）稳居年级前50。
和大多数同学一样，我的初一初二几乎在玩乐中度过，由于学习的时候还是很认真的，所以我的成绩一直也还不错。初二下的期末考试，我除了语文政治，各科都取得了较大的进步，于是那个暑假我便松懈了下来，除了写完老师布置的作业以及上了一个课外语文班以外，几乎什么也没学。那时的我对初三一点紧迫感也没有。。
I come from NANJING FOREIGN LANGUAGE SCHOOL(NFLS), the junior school has 12 classes, about 700 students in total in each grade. Among the students, 450 are normal students that are excellent learners, and others are students with low grades who paid money to come here. The senior school admits(招收) 340 normal students from our junior school each year, so the score of the student ranked 340th in big tests are called *THE LINE*.
Classes in NFLS are rich in Xuebas, especially in our class — Class 9. Usually, 50 of the 60 students can *go above the line*, and 7 or 8 students can even hold a steady position among the top 50 in the grade.
Like other students, my time in Junior 1 and Junior 2 was almost spent playing, but I worked solidly(踏实地) when studying, so my grade was not bad. In the second end-term exam in Junior 2, I made progress in all sbujects except Chinese and Politics, so I spent the following summer vacation playing again. I just finished the homework and had extra Chinese lessons, and I didn*t spend time studying at all except that! Yeah, I had no sense of urgency(紧急) to the coming Junior 3 at all at that time...

我暑假时的松懈被延续到了初三的第一个月。
我心中总是想着玩，上课经常走神，每天的作业敷衍了事，可怕的是这些行为渐渐形成了一种习惯。
短短的一个月让我有了很大的变化，这些在以前的我看来是坏学生才会做出的事，对13年9月后期的我来说却已是家常便饭。
我的松懈很快遭到了报应，在10月初的月考中，我的成绩达到初中以来的最低点----除了英语以外门门全班倒数。
七门总分下线21分，比班级中位数差44分。级排474名，一个可怕的数字。

考试后的几天，我的心情极其消极，同时还要应对父母的责骂等等来自外界的压力。
班主任吕老师找我谈了一次话， 她说我其实是幸运的，因为我过早地暴露了自己的问题，现在补救还远不算晚。她也肯定了我的潜力，给了我不少鼓励。那次谈话让我终身难忘。
月考之后一星期，当我和我的家长都平复了心情，我开始仔细反思自己对学习的态度，并下定决心做出改变。
那之后，虽然我还是会花不少时间玩各种东西，但学习真的认真了很多。我的成绩恢复很快，期中考试上线2分，12月月考上线7分。

The state of relaxation continued in the first month of Junior 3(这句话问题好多…).
I was often absent-minded in classes, and I copied others' homework every day. What's really terrible , these behaviors gradually became HABITS.
I was greatly changed in the time as short as one month.
I soon got what I deserve in the monthly-exam in early October, when I found my score reaching the lowest point since I entered junior school. I did terrible in all 7 subjects except English.
My total score was 21 points below the line, 44 points below the CLASS-MIDDLE-LINE (the score of the student ranked 31th). I ranked 474th in the grade. That was a terrible figure.

12月月考后，我发现自己的英语成绩有所下降。
那时距离「外语加试」（考试内容为南外初中使用的外语教材，考试难度很大，总分100分，计入中考总分）还有两个月半，

此贴明天或后天开始更新，争取国庆前写完！如果没写完就寒假再发吧……

那时的我还太不成熟，竟然计划学习的重心放在英语上，对数理化完全轻视。 那时的我想到自己9月几乎没学东西，期中前还能补回来，因此天真地以为下学期我也会把数理化的成绩补回来的。又或许那时学的内容太难，我更情愿做我拿手的英语题。然而，那时数理化的学习正在最关键的阶段，二次函数、电学、碳的化合物……在这些难点上，我没有及时打好基础，这让后来的我追悔莫及。（ 写于8月15日）

In the first few days after the test, I was extremely upset. Meanwhile, I had to cope with the pressure from the outside, such as the blame from my parents.
My class teacher, Ms. May, had a talk with me. She said I was actually lucky because I had shown my problem at an early time, and that it was still not late for me if I would work hard. Also, she confirmed my potential(潜力) and encouraged me a lot. That conversation was unforgettable for me.
A week after the exam, when I and my parents had all calmed down, I began to reflect(反思) on my attitude towards study. I realized what I have done and determined to make a change.
From then on, although I still often spent time on playing various things, I took my school work much more seriously. I did better and better in the following exams, scoring 2 points above the line(ATL for short) in the mid-term exam and 7 points ATL in the second monthly test in December.
