【S01E11】
季中主线，Jane以给Renfrew翻案为交换RJ线索的条件。这段挑出杀妻的细节：
“Your wife, Red John painted her toenails. Yes, painted them with her own blood. She is the only instance he did that. Touch off elegance for you alone.”
“你妻子，血手约翰给她涂了脚趾甲。用她自己的血。他只对她一个受害人这么做了，特意为了衬托你的儒雅气质。”
最后以Renfrew被杀告终，不过在墙上留下了"He is man"的血字

【S01E23】
季末主线，Roy Tagliaferro这个名字和盲女Roselind两个线索浮现
“No such thing as a coincidence, not with him.”
“没有这么巧的事，对他来说不是。”
——Jane在看到尸体涂了血的脚趾甲后立刻认定是Red John。
“This is Red John and he wants to make sure I was on this case.”
“这是血手约翰，他要确保这案子有我参与。”

和Lisbon讨论到这次案件RJ打破了常规：
-“He’s broken pattern once before.”
“之前有一次他也打破了常规。”
-“Yes, because it was personal. He wanted to punish me.”
“是的，因为那是私仇，他想要惩罚我。”

审问Mace（非凶手）的时候Jane说他不惜代价向RJ复仇：
“I have very deep personal interest in this case. I’ll do whatever it takes. I’ll have you framed for murder. I’ll torture you. I’ll kill you myself if I have to --- whatever it takes.”
“我有极深的个人理由掺杂在此案中，我会不惜一切，我会栽赃你就是凶手。我会严刑拷问你，甚至亲手杀了你——如果我非得那样不可。我会不惜代价。”
