I think I can hear it
And do you, too?
The sound of dust settling down
And the world clarifies into
A crystal music box
Of dancing figurines playing flute
The hustle and bustle of this earth
Recedes like tides, into the distant wilderness
A cascade of curtains fall
Like summer rains washing down thick
Away the dust and ashes
Gathering from the tumult
--And the sights are anew
Where everything becomes written chapters
Of enchanting poetry
And everyone becomes
A tiny note within symphony
Dancing in simplicity
And we will fear not
When the great wave rolls back
And take us all by force
For we caught a glimpse of eternity
And our souls will be unscathed from
The helter-skelter and its captives
But are forever dancers in the music box
And do you, too?
The sound of dust settling down
And the world clarifies into
A crystal music box
Of dancing figurines playing flute
The hustle and bustle of this earth
Recedes like tides, into the distant wilderness
A cascade of curtains fall
Like summer rains washing down thick
Away the dust and ashes
Gathering from the tumult
--And the sights are anew
Where everything becomes written chapters
Of enchanting poetry
And everyone becomes
A tiny note within symphony
Dancing in simplicity
And we will fear not
When the great wave rolls back
And take us all by force
For we caught a glimpse of eternity
And our souls will be unscathed from
The helter-skelter and its captives
