当然有些事电影里拍得比较隐晦，但小说里是交代地比较清楚，比如Amina的父亲性格内向不喜欢与生人打交道，不喜欢改变，所以在Amina不结婚的问题上大开绿灯。

还有，Amina从小顽皮，且 Amina喜欢的女人在镇上不算个秘密，至少来搜查Rehmat的警察知道。原著中骂人的措辞的更直接。

清晨的御姐实在太美了
白衣不染纤尘，顾盼胜雪柔情。
皓齿明眸、颠倒众生。手如柔荑，肤若凝脂。
怎一个是 “我见青山多妩媚，料Amina见御姐应如是。”

在转折性的一夜恳谈之后经历了“Rehmat事件”，
Rehmat 因为和白人的婚姻，被南非当局搜捕。
此时Rehmat应该是和白人丈夫分开回法国的。毕竟一见便知的肤色差异容易引人注意。
镜头上，Rehmat身着黑色丧服，明显其父已死。Rehmat顶着巨大的压力，硬是呆在南非陪父亲走过最后的时光。这点相当了不起。

之后是Amina奶奶的去世，这段里的Miriam散发的气场已经和前半段大不一样。
从无条件服从，到遵从自己的意愿秘密帮助受伤黑人，再到现在和丈夫据以力争，敢于正面辩驳。
这种转变是渐进的。

Miriam来Amina家想安慰她。
进门Amina捧着一本书在读。
剧原著载，此书为《小妇人》，是Miriam从孟买带来的。

之前Miriam从三本书《简爱》、《远离尘嚣》、《小妇人》里挑了《小妇人》邮给Amina。
我们看下，Miriam在婚前都是看什么书。 为什么单独选了小妇人。<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"></?xml:namespace>
1.《简爱》——夏洛蒂勃朗特的名作，讲一孤女历尽磨难追求自由幸福生活的故事。简爱拥有了所渴望的婚姻，成了贵妇。
这显然不符合Amina独立更生，不重婚姻的性格。

3.《小妇人》则是描写了四个独立自强的女性，以及她们对家庭的热情，对爱的忠诚。<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"></?xml:namespace>
其中主角“二姐乔”她开朗豁达，独立自尊，热衷于写作事业，所得稿费贴补家用。
在乔的身上我们明显看到了Shamin导演的个人色彩——独立、以写作为事业。
而不论是icts中的Leyla还有twus中的Amina其实都是导演自身的一个映像写照。
显然这本小妇人更符合Miriam心中的Amina。
所以原著中如是写道：
”不过她最后还是决定选《小妇人》，她能清楚记得自己校园时代里阅读这本书时的心情。还是个女学生的时候，她总是想象自己就是那个热情洋溢的，有独立精神和性格的Jo。可现在她再想起来，那个角色的形象已经换成了另一张脸。”

从Miriam曾经读的书中可以看出，
只是婚姻压抑了她自由的本性，而这一切终将被唤醒。


收到“情人”赠予的书籍，低头的一瞬是别样的风情。

Shamim Sarif lives in London with her partner Hanan and their two children.

Shamim received an Afterellen.com 2008 VISIBLITY AWARD as ’International Lesbian/Bi Woman of the Year’.
