On Monday, we had 19 states + DC with the freedom to marry. Today, we have 29 states + DC. What an amazing week for equality! #TapTapTap #EqualLoveEqualRights
Today we celebrate National Coming Out Day by encouraging and supporting those struggling with their identity to accept who they are. Each person that speaks up changes more hearts and minds, and creates new advocates for equality. I hope that one day everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, can be treated with equality and decency. ️#NCOD
When @ColeenMcMahon and I first heard the beautiful song "Define Me," by Ryan Amador and Jo Lampert, we were deeply moved by it. This song is a powerful reminder that despite our differences, we are all human and should not allow others define who we are or dictate who we love. On a whim, Coleen and I decided to record a cover of "Define Me." We never imagined doing anything with it, mostly because years of insecurities made me ashamed of my creative side and as a result I have always been embarrassed to sing in front of anyone other than my closest friends. I decided to overcome that fear, however, and share this part of me with you today--national #ComingOutDay. ------------------------------------------- To watch the video, visit YouTube.com/ShaneBitneyCrone. This video would not have been possible without all of you. Thank you for working so hard and for believing in the song and its message!
