Technically,it's not just 缺，it's 缺 very much. But I don't think that boys have so-called 优势，if you mean that they are companied with the large number of girls from all over the world,especially when summer time comes.
Anyway,you can't expect to get more chances or bonus in grades.

现在北语男生占20% 也就是男女比例1比4。比以前好多了。男生的话也不是说特别抢手。毕竟看不上北语男生的女生大有人在。
