Mary-Kate Olsen is the latest lady to be linked to the late actor

1- Lisa Zane
In 1997, Ledger dated Lisa Zane, the costar of Roar, his short-lived Aussie TV show. Zane, 18 years his senior, is the sister of actor Billy Zane.

3- Naomi Watts
Ledger and the Aussie actress (who was 11 years his senior) dated for 16 months after meeting on the set of western drama Ned Kelly in 2002. They dated off-and-on for two years. In the immediate aftermath of Ledger's death, Watts canceled her promotional appearances at the Sundance Film Festival.

4- Michelle Williams
It was love at first sight for Ledger and Williams, who met while filming Brokeback Mountain in 2004. "I remember being in rehearsal, and the two of them had googly eyes with each other," costar Jake Gyllenhaal has recalled. They split in August when their daughter, Madilda, was nearly 2.

5- Helena Christensen
In September - a month after splitting with Michelle Williams - Ledger was spotted "making out" with the model, who was 10 years his senior. (She denied a romance.) She said she was on her way to see the actor at his downtown NYC apartment when she heard the news of his passing. "He was so full of life, so electric," she said.

6- Lindsay Lohan
The young actress, 21, was seen sobbing after news of Ledger's death broke. The two had reportedly hooked up in New York over Thanksgiving weekend.

7- Gemma Ward
Ledger was linked to the 20-year-old supermodel in December and January. Both were born in Perth, Australia. Ward's sister, actress Sophie, recently told the West Australian newspaper, "I don't believe [Ledger] took his own life deliberately." She added, "We went to the movies and just did normal stuff, but he was a bit edgy. He couldn't really relax ... he was quite upset because he couldn't see his daughter as much as he'd like to."

8- Mary-Kate Olsen
Ledger and the 21-year-old actress were reportedly dating at the time of his death. Ledger's masseuse first called Olsen, before 911, when she found the actor's body.
