When the Atlanta Hawks open play at Philips Arena this season against the Indiana Pacers, a special guest will be in attendance to greet those lucky enough to get a ticket. Not only will those fans be watching what is likely to be a very good basketball game but they’ll get a free concert out of it all as rapper T.I. will be performing before, during and after the Atlanta Hawks game. Everyone entering Philips Arena before 7:00 p.m. will receive $10 in Hawks Bucks and will be able to watch the first of three amazing performances by T.I. in a special pregame concert. T.I. will also collaborate with PA Announcer Ryan Cameron to introduce the players pregame before a state-of-the-art, must-be-seen-in-person introduction. As if that wasn’t enough, the Atlanta Hawks are also reducing ticket prices to the home opener and giving fans who attend a free t-shirt. T.I himself, who’s a massive Atlanta Hawks fan, couldn’t be happier to be performing. “I think everybody needs to come out and make it their business to support the Hawks and support the city,” T.I. said. “I will be performing at the pregame show, the halftime and the postgame as well; all for the people who come to support my team, the Atlanta Hawks, and my city. We gotta set it off with a celebration.” A Bankhead native, T.I. has loyally supported his Hawks through thick and thin and can often be seen sitting courtside as he roots on his favorite team. A pretty cool gesture on the behalf of T.I.P. himself at the Atlanta Hawks. Not only do you get to see an NBA basketball game at a discounted price but you essentially get a full fledged T.I. concert for free. Not a bad deal at all.
