I've visited almost 30 cities in the past 45 days and now my fall speaking tour has concluded! Thank you to Hofstra University, Monmouth University and Boise State University for making the last stretch so special. --------------------------------------- I can't adequately express how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to travel and meet so many of you. When I was first approached to do a university speaking tour my instinct was to say no--the thought of getting up in front of large groups of people scared me to death. Thankfully I realized this was another opportunity not only to face my fears, but also to reach more people with my story and with any luck, change more hearts and minds. --------------------------------------- I'm obviously extremely passionate about marriage equality but I'm particularly focused on reaching LGBT youth and inspiring them to stand up, be proud, and make a difference. At almost every school I visited there was at least one LGBT student who didn't have the support of his or her family and was no longer welcome at home. It is a heartbreaking reality that keeps me motivated to continue on my path. --------------------------------------- Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey.
