The Coquelicot
––The Emperor's Looking Back On His Lost Land
When will the spring flowers and autumn moon come to their end of life?
And who knows the past of mine?
The bright moonlight poured over the pavilion with eastern breeze last night
Made me melancholy find my thoughts on my lost land which is covered by the same moonlight
The grand palace may still stand there as before
But the beautiful faces are not fair any more
when I was asked about my sentiments now
That skein of sorrow smashed my heart
Exactly like the river flowing east –endless and will forever last
