On November 28, YG Entertainment updated its blog with a new poster, revealing Dok2 as the third and last member of the second hip hop project.
The reason why the reveal has been catching fans off guard is because Dok2 is not a YG Entertainment artist, but part of Illionaire Records.
After making his name known as a rapper and producer, Dok2 established Illionaire Records with The Quiett. He also teamed up with iKON′s Bobby on Show Me the Money 3, helping the iKON member to victory.
YG Entertainment stated, "The YG Hip Hop Project 2 will be a meeting of Masta Wu, who led the beginning of the hip-hop culture in Korea, Dok2 who followed, and Bobby, who is newly rising. As it′s also a meeting of Korea′s representative label, YG, and the representative label leading the hip-hop scene, Illionaire Records, we expect this to be a big enough event to stimulate hip-hop fans."
With Bobby, Masta Wu, and Dok2 revealed in one team, the anticipation has jump up a level or two for what these three artists will bring to the table.
The results will be revealed on December 2.
