Dragons return~
Are youready to fly again? The filmmakers who made DreamWorks animation HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON have breath magical fire into its sequel(续集),which Forbes magazine called"the best blockbuster(大片) of this summer".
HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 came out in China on Aug 14.
The new 3-D film takes place five years after the first HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON.
Once a danger to humanity(人类),dragons now work together with humans and play big roles in the Viking town of Berk. That's mostly thanks to the first film's heroic teenager Hiccup, who helped his people forget their past ideas about dragons and realize that they are as intelligent and loving as people.
Now in his 20s,Hiccup has been named Berk's next leader. But he's still not satisfied and would rather spend his time flying his dragon,Night Fury Toothless, to find new places in endless seas that surround his home.
However, one day he makes two surprising discoveries.
First,he find a secret forest where hundreds of dragons live peacefully under their protecter-Hiccup's long-lost mother Valka.
The young man also finds Drago,a cruel warlord who rules an army of fierce dragons, using torture, fear and pain to make them to do what he wants.Drago's dream,is to make all the dragons, and the men and women who love them, his slaves.
Can Hiccup lead his people to defeat the villain(反派) and save their beloved pets?
"Hiccup will discover that with power comes responsibility",commented entertainment news website The Warp."He doesn't just learn the same lesson about being himself, but changes into a better self."
Audiences "will find themselves challenged by important questions about our place in the world",noted the Philadelphia Inquirer. "The movie uses its three main characters to show three different ways people have treated nature."
Are humans supposed to rule over nature, the film apks, as Drago does?
Or, like Hiccup, are we supposed to use our powers of thinking to understand nature and use it for the common goods?
Or as the extreme(极端的) environmentalist Valka teaches, are we just a small, unimportant part of nature that should protect it without even thinking about what we want?
