My Friendship with “Dragonlance”
Dragonlance is a series of books written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. It tells stories of all breeds happened on the continent of Ansalon. Of course “Dragonlance” is fantastic, and it is a silence friend,it make sense out of life to me,it teaches me a lot though.
I met “Dragonlance” a year and a half ago,as soon as I read the book,I found it hard to put a stop to reading. It became one of my best friends.When I’m happy,no doubt,I would like to ubfold it and enjoy reading it.When I’m disappointed,Dragonlance is my best friend to stay withand cheer me up.And when I lose my heart,reading it makes me feel much better,Dragonlance can help me find myself and my confidence.
Many stories moved me when I read them,and they are still moving me.
“Est sularus oth Mithas”,which means “My honor is my life”,is the motto of Solamnia Knights,especially for a knight calles Sturm Brightblade.He kept his words all his life and sacrificed to protect his friend Laurana.
Tas was an optimistic Kender,he seldom felt disappointed,though Kender was a breed that never afraid of anything.When human,elves,and dwarves were arguing about who should take possession of the dragon orb to defend the continent of Ansalon from attack by Dark Queen’s army,Tas broke the dragon orb to stop the argue,and it did work.These breeds make up an army and fought against the Dark Queen with Paladine,the kind God’s help.
Caramon and Raistlin Majere were twin brothers,Caramon was a warrior while Raist was a red robed mage.In that world,white ones means kind,red ones means neutrality,and black ones means evil.Raist became a black robed mage,the most powerful mage.But at the last moment,Raist joined hands with his brother and some other friends to stop the Dark Queen from coming to the world through the Dark Abyss,so that they prevented her domination.
There are also stories of the next generation.Palin Majere,son of Caramon,a promising white robed mage,saved his cousin Steel,Sturm Brightblade’s only child but a dark knight.Steel was misunderstood and considered to release their prisoner Palin.Palin went to Steel’s Lord to tell him the truthand united both kind and evil to save the world from being destroyed by the most powerful god-the father of all and nothing,who created the world.It was not that easy to force a god back to the Graygem,but Palin and Steel’s love to the world,their hometown,their relative,and their friends,was strong enough to lead them to a success.
