Facing both Asus.Polarand Team Empire in the earlier rounds, it was a chance at redemption for NiP following their third place finish at StarLadder. Both times NiP prevailed and managed to take down their adversaries, earning them a spot in the finals. Virtus.pro had a seemingly easier way to the finals, facing Alliance and Tinker, both of which only recently got together a new roster, without too many positive results yet.
