2013年是威尔第诞辰200周年，国家大剧院的这出“折子戏”由著名导演乌戈·德·安纳执导，全面介绍了威尔第的艺术成就，演绎威尔第10部重要作品。
张国立说：“我一直觉得我与国家大剧院的距离非常远，因为这里是上演舞台艺术的地方，说实话我曾经梦想过在国家大剧院演出话剧、京剧，但一直没有合适的机缘。没想到这一次居然在歌剧演出中合作。”为了音乐会的演出，张国立不仅在短时间之内熟背台词，还在导演的安排下完成了许多戏剧演员的表演：“乌戈是一个非常棒的导演，我通过导演给我的脚本了解到了威尔第的一生，而在演出中，我不仅仅是一个‘旁白’的角色，而是整场演出的‘灵魂’。”

Created exclusively for the occasion of the celebrated composer’s 200th birthday, Beijing’s most important opera house, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, presents an exceptional gala: Viva Verdi. It features stars from the opera world such as Dilbèr or Roberto Scandiuzzi as they perform the best moments from Verdi’s operas and his Messa da Requiem in a visually stunning production by director Hugo de Ana.
