波士顿历史十大雪暴

这次的Juno能否力压群雄,成为波屯历史第一雪暴呢?让我们拭目以待~
1. The President's Day Blizzard of 2003 (February 16-17): 27.6 inches
2. The Blizzard of ‘78 II (Feb. 6-7): 27.1 inches
3. The Blizzard of 1969 (Feb. 24-27, 1969) 26.3 inches
4. April Fool’s Day Blizzard (Mar. 31-April 1, 1997) 25.4 inches
5. Blizzard of 2013, commonly known as Nemo (Feb. 8-9, 2013) 24.9 inches (还记得那时刚好过年,下雪那天车辆禁行,原来十分钟的路走了至少半个小时。人行道两旁的积雪切得像蛋糕一样,学校不得已停了一天课)
6. Blizzard of 2005 (Jan. 22-23, 2005) 22.5 inches
7. Blizzard of 1978 I (Jan. 20-21, 1978) 21.4 inches
8. Blizzard of 1960 (March 3-5, 1960) 19.8 inches

突然发现每次历史性雪暴发生的两年内又会有一场历史性雪暴。。。

    6. Jan. 26-27, 2015 – 24.6 inches (62.5 cm)
    这次雪暴虽然忽悠了一把纽约人民,在Boston area算是使出了全力,挤入第六,惜败于前年春节的那场暴雪(当时村子里至少有70-90 cm,我量过)
    这次村子里雪还行,可能就60+cm。不过村子旁边的小镇Framingham(购物休闲娱乐都去那)相当夸张,下了33 inches的雪(85 cm)。

      后悔发这个帖子了。。。
      虽然单次下雪只排了第六,但七天降雪量、三十天降雪量都是历史最高了。。
      真的不想再下雪了T T
      现在每隔几天又下一场雪,每下一场几英寸(大概十几厘米)的“小雪”都能造成瘫痪。。。

        - Record 30-day snowfall: 74.8 inches from Jan. 14 - Feb. 12, 2015 (previous record: 58.8 inches from Jan. 9 - Feb. 7, 1978)
        - Record snow depth*: 37 inches on Feb. 9 (previous record: 31 inches on Jan. 11, 1996; * gaps in this dataset exist)
        - Fastest six-foot snowfall: 72.5 inches in 18 days from Jan. 24 - Feb. 10, 2015 (previous record: 73 inches in 45 days from Dec. 29, 1993 to Feb. 11, 1994)
        - Three calendar days with at least 12 inches of snow, a first for any snow season (previously, only two seasons had as many as two such days, in 1977-1978 and 1960-1961 seasons)
        - At least 0.5 inch of snow had fallen 6 straight days through Feb. 12, topping the previous such record stretch of 5 days in 1943. The record stretch of measurable snow (at least 0.1 inch) was 9 straight days ending on Mar. 10, 1916.
