I watched an episode from the first season of Pretty Little Liars. I encountered a sentence, “Where’s Ali and Spencer?” I was confused about that at first for it used single form here but not plural form. Then I asked others about this. Among them, there’s a foreigner. She told me it was because of the bad habit when they speak. The proper way to say it should use plural form, “Where are Ali and Spencer?”
