On Friday 23rd January 2015 the grand ballroom of Cipriani Wall Street was host to the American Australian Association’s Australia Day Black Tie Gala, a celebration of Australia Day and Australia in the United States. Over 400 guests attended the glittering event, including special guests the Hon. Julie Bishop and Ian Thorpe OAM, who was honored on the night for his extraordinary contribution to sport and philanthropy.
Guests were entertained by Master of Ceremonies, actor and TV host Nick Hardcastle; Broadway performer Kaye Tuckerman, and opera singer Rachelle Durkin. Many danced the night away with DJ Ricardo Lima spinning Aussie classics through dinner and the after party.
