Autumn knocks at my door,
I opened it,
Can’t see summer’s unease anymore
Texas’ fall is too short
All the summer’s passion comes to a halt
When I look for you,
My heart finds its resort
Never had pink conations and a pickup truck,
But when I met you,
I knew that’s my luck.
When we go on to the journey of the endless road,
We know home is our forever-returning zip code
I may forget seasons,
But I won’t forget those moments.
Those past, still present,
Lasting, not transient.
I may forget the reason I first decided to fly,
I know without you,
I will be lost in the deep spacious sky.
I may forget the reason I first left the port,
But I know,
Somewhere beyond the sea,
You are waiting for me on the golden shore.
