The Death Games, an ancient and secret tradition of arcane combat pits twelve of the most powerful mages in a no holds barred tournament. The winner is granted the favour and divine power of the Gods, making the victor an all powerful being. Each mage must summon a Familiar to battle in their stead; a great transcendent creature of immense power.
Which proves to be a surprise to the young mage Louise, when she summons a human mortal from Earth to her side. Luke is equally perplexed but he must fight against all opponents in his way, as he is bound to Louise now. Together, Luke and Louise must find a way to battle and survive the danger of the Games and embark on a journey which will lead them to either glory and immortality, or their own demise.
The Death Games is set in the fantasy medieval universe of Kitanria, a Kingdom torn apart by war, rebellion and magic. Although the city-state of Tubonte floats high in the sky, it does not rise above the poverty, slavery and civil strife that plagues it's people. Underneath this constant turmoil lies the sinister Death Games, an ancient tournament, mysteriously revived after being long forgotten, offering a glimmer of hope for the desperate and power-hungry of Kitanria.
In The Death Games you will step into the shoes of Luke and Louise as they travel and explore the different corners of Tubonte and the realm of Kitanria. Players will be able to explore the various districts of Tubonte and the large kingdom of Kitanria, a vast and beautiful open world rich with history, story and danger.
Inspired by some of the greatest RPGs, The Death Games will give each player a unique ending depending on the choices they make and the actions they take.
