On account of keeping your elder brother’s company while he was having the violin class, you fell in love with music.At the age of 6, you began to learn to play the violin. Both of your parents had never expectde you to set foot in music. Maybe at that moment ,even yourself, did not realize your talent in music. However, the day of your first violin class was an important turning point in your life, because from that day, music and your life overlapped and music became an intrinsic part of your whole life.
You have been called “Quality Idol” since you stepped into the entertainment circle. But you did not like it ,for the appellation would give others who were not familiar with you the impression that you just had good look without possessing substantial ability. You were depressed and in a confused state of mind. You tried your best to prove that you were a real singer. Yet, it did not work. Maybe it was because you were too handsome to let others believe you could sing well.
Your career in music was not broad and level. Your albums of earlier period were not introduced to mainland, therefore, most of us knew you from the commercial you shot for Wahaha Pure Drinking Water. Honestly speaking, you did not enjoy extreme popularity at that time.
In the year of 2001, you released your new album The One And Only which you wrote all the musci and lyrics. The top songs唯一and爱的就是你were all the rage. People began to change their opinion of you. The new album was supposed to be a big hit in the record market. Nevertheless, this high-quality album could not make you the hottest that year. There are a large number of greeners emerging in the singing stage. And in that year, Jay Chou and his Fantasy became the dark horse. Obviously, you did not win the day in this battle. Then, Unbelievable, your most academic album ,were not accepted by most listeners.Even so, you were not discouraged.
Inspired by the journey to Tibet, Xinjiang and Yunnan, the seeds for a new album were sown. One year later, you struck gold with your 10th t work心中的日月. Combining the Chinese classical music elements宫商角徵羽and modern hip-hop and R&B ingeniously, you created a new style Chinked-Out. This time, your efforts were highly praised by those fastidiously particular musci critics and those common listeners who are critical to the point of rudeness . You successfully justify to all your musicianship by this excellent album. People had a complete new appraisal of you. Whereafter, Heroes of Earth, which followed the Chinked-Out, was still a popular one.
After almost two years’ lomg waiting, you brought us with freshness by Chang Me. It is such a huge change and such a rude shock!
For the love of music, you are loyal to your music, and you are following your music. You are an exception in this commercialized entertainment circle.
Being the hottest property, you are already on the toppest form on Chinese singing stage. No one would dare to say you are good in appearance only any more. You receive everyone’s affirmation and appreciation.
