primary structure of root:
1.Epidermis:only one layer of cells, closed arrangement, elongated along face, older zone may show cutinized on the outer wall.possess root hairs.without intercellulose space and chloroplast.
2.Cortex:consist mainly of parenchyma cells.root cortex is wider than stem cortex.
Exodermis:arranged closed.without intercellulose space.
Cortexparenchyma:arranged loosely.very wide.cells large.consist of homogeneous parenchyma cells.posses intercwllulose space and persent starch.
Endodermis:single layer of cells.2 radial and 2 end wall are showing strip shape thickened on the inner surface of cell wall termed casparian strip.
3.Vascular Cylinder:
Pericycle:adjacent to the endodermis .possess meristematic potentialities.
Primary Xylem AND Primary Phloem:
Primary xylem:star angle shape.various 2-8
Primaryphloem:located betweem xylem angles.arranged in alternate manners.contain sieve tube.companion cells.parenchyma cells andq few fibers.
