（James Norton throwback snaps have resurfaced online）
The 31-year-old is a far cry from his dashing portrayal of Prince Andrei Bolkonsky in War and Peace in an array of epic throwback snaps that have resurfaced online.
The pictures were taken in two student shows during his second year at Cambridge, where he studied Theology at Fitzwilliam College.
The actor, then aged 20, appeared in three shows in just one month during February 2006 - a whole decade before his chiselled cheek bones and floppy hair won over an army of female fans.
The photos show James as the openly-gay Cambridge spy Guy Bennett in Julian Mitchell's play Another Country - which was set in the 1930s and based on the public school days of the Cambridge spies.

He is seen dressed as a school boy in a suit and tie in some of the snaps taken during the show, which was put on by Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club at the ADC Theatre.
James later showcased his diverse acting skills even more by starring in the comedy, Circus, put on by Cambridge Footlights.
The play helped launch the careers of comedian David Mitchell, Sue Perkins and Eric Idle.
