Dear Editor,
Inorder to encourage their children to study hard at school, some parents rewardtheir children with money if he/she gets a good grade. This phenomenon is quitecommon now and I do not deny its effect. After all, receiving cash as a rewardis very encouraging and can ensure the students a sense of achievement. However, this kind of effect can be rather temporary. What’s more, it may cause someunexpected effects which can be negative.
Asfar as I am concerned, there is more than one way to stimulate students to workhard. As I remember, my parents always encourage me with some inspiring storiesand describe a brilliant future to me to help me get motivated. Above all, it’sa must for one to cultivate a good habit of studying.
Yours,
LiHua
