Organiser BWF with the support of BOCOG / Badminton Competition Management Team
 
Invitations All Member Associations and National Olympic Committees from
 competing Nations in badminton in Beijing. 
 
 The Ambassadors to China from all competing nations in badminton.
 
 Other VIPs and guests invited by the BWF to witness the draw.
 
Expected Nos. 60 – 80 people to witness / observe the draw. Some VIPs will be invited 
 to take part in the drawing process.
 
Draw Panel A draw panel has been established that approves and oversees the 
 process ensuring compliance with BWF Regulations. The panel members 
 are:
 
o Dr Kang, BWF President
o Dennis Li, Beijing 2008 Referee
o Paisan Rangsikitpho, Beijing 2008 BWF Technical Delegate
o Torsten Berg, Deputy Chair, BWF Sport Committee, Chair Technical Commission
o The BWF has invited Sir Craig Reedie to be the fifth member of the panel and we await confirmation on this.
 
Role Draw Panel’s specific role is to:
 
o ensure the draw is conducted according to the BWF Regulations; 
o oversee all the technical aspects of running the Draw Ceremony; 
o approve the equipment used for the manual draw; 
o approve the steps in the draw process; 
o oversee the draw itself on the day.
