Citizens in Shanghai suffer from more life pressure than any other city in China, while Beijing comes second, according to an online survey conducted by Qunar.

The survey reveals that citizens in first-tier cities scored over 82 points on average, among which Shanghai citizens obtain 84 points, topping the city list. Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing, Wuhan, Changsha and Xiamen come next in that order. The average point of life pressure nationwide is up to 78.1.
High-stress jobs exist in fields like finance1, medical care, Internet industry and schools. Internet entrepreneurs2 are reported to undertake the highest pressure among them all. Surprisingly, administrative3 clerks suffer less pressure compared with other individuals in a variety of occupations.
