scare sb. to death
被别人吓到了，你可以说：You scared me. (你吓着了我。) 如果别人把你吓得不轻，则可以用上面这个短语，表示“吓死了”。
例：You nearly scared me to death.

frighten the pants off
吓到裤子都掉了，很形象地形容出人惊恐万分，被吓得屁滚尿流。
