First of all, I must thank Mr. Tony de Gonon for his warm hospitality.
I flew here on 7th, Nov, 2013. By the time I got Moscow,people were having their lunch. As soon I arrived in the airport, Mr. Tony came to greet me. We went to a restaurant to have some meal.
When we sat down, we started to talk about the main blast lines of a 22B coach train. He said the wind presssure could reach to 600 KPa while I asked him:" Does a 22B uses the weight of wind at 600 KPa in Russia?" He said:" Well, we usually use the pressure at 550KPa. However, there is also a 600 wind pressure sometimes."
After lunch, we went to the vehicles section。 I saw some 22Bs there which were made in Chang Chun. Although the 22Bs' coupling gear were changed, I could recognize them. About ten minutes later, a locomotive came and linked a 22B. A man linked the air pipe. Then the driver relieved the self-retardation and the main-retardation and told us:" The wind pressure now is below 500 KPa. If it cannot rech to at least 550, we will fail to move it."
Then, Mr. Tony asked the driver if something was wrong with the locomotive. The driver said the break and the main air reservoir was both OK.
So we came out with the question whether the main air reservoir of this 22B had been out of order. We checked for about two hours but found out nothing. We had a short rest.
I told Mr. Tony:" There are always the same situation in Ha Erbin Railway Department. We alway use a 600KPa pressure on a passenger transporting and use a 550 KPa pressure on a goods transporting."
He asked me:" What is the main force of goods transporting in your hometown?"
I said:" Generally speaking, there are two kind of locomotives. One is called HXN5 and the other one is called DF4B. Now HXN5 is mostly used in my hometown as a main force. This locomotive is designed in the GE, America. The first two ones were made in America while the rest ones were all made in China."
