Man-Bat 和Batman的故事
This is Gotham Air One reporting in. Things are actully quite for once.

这是哥谭市“空中1号”，目前一切正常。
A：You see that?
B：What?
A：I had a blip. It justghosted across my screen.
blip: spot of light on a radar screen.（雷达屏幕上的）光点。
ghost: to move without making a sound.悄悄地行进
ghost across + place 像鬼一样出没
雷达闪了一下，刚刚有东西从银幕上闪过去。
B：I dont see anything.
A：It was there. Whatever it is, must be right below us.
right below:在……下方
A：There it is.
B：There what is?
A：It looked like bat wings.
bat wings:蝙蝠翅膀
Batwing: adj.蝙蝠翼状的，似蝙蝠的 n.蝙蝠翼战斗机
B：Bat wings? Okay, take us up through those clouds ,just in case. Sorry kid, there is nothing up here.
蝙蝠的翅膀？行，以防万一，开到云层上面，看看是什么东西。抱歉啦，小子，什么都没有。
in case:以防万一
A：I swear i saw it. Something was flying around up here.

fly around:飞来飞去
up here:在这上面

declare war on sb:v. 对……宣战，发动战争
(Giant bat injures night watchman.)
Watchman:person employed to guard a building(eg a bank,an office building or a factory),esp at night （尤指夜间的）警卫员，看守人
night watchman:夜间警卫员

Commissioner：I didn’t authorize this statement, detective.
我并没有让你去发表这样的言论，探长。
detective: [美国英语中单独使用，用于警察头衔]警探
authorize:v.批准，准许
Detective：Come on, commissioner, somebody asked me a couple of questions, I just gave them a couple of answers.
come on:[spoken]you say ‘Come on’ to someone when you think that what they are saying is silly or unreasonable.[口语]得了吧，算了吧
commissioner:a commissioner is an important official in a government department or other organization.[政府部门或其他组织的]长官，要人
police commissioner:警察局局长
a couple of:[口语]少数的，几个
少来了局长，有人问我几个问题，我就给他们一点答案而已。

下面介绍一下戏份比较多的几个人
detective：

Commissioner：You gave them without my approval. If you keep quiet, he wouldn’t know we’re moving against him.
approval:认可，赞成，同意
keep quiet:保持安静
move against sb: 对付某人
move against the enemy 向敌军进击
我并没有批准。要是你闭上嘴，蝙蝠侠怎么会知道我们要对付他。
Detective：I’ll find him. I just need a little extra help. Your Honor.
a little:a small amount of sth;some but not much.少量，些微，稍许。修饰不可数名词、形容词。用在肯定句中表示有一点儿,全句还是肯定句。
little:用在肯定句中表示无和没有,本身带有否定用意,所以全句是否定句。
extra help:额外帮助
Honor:先生。是对法官或某些高官的尊称。 直接称谓：Your Honor 间接称谓：His/Her Honor 。
Your Honor：法官大人,（美国）市长阁下
我会抓住他的。只是我需要一些支援，市长大人。

Mayor：What kind of help?
what kind of+可数名词单数或不可数名词:何许；哪样。
什么样的支援？
Detective：I want my own tactical squad for the sole purpose of throwing the net over this Batman.
tactical:（尤指与路上或海上作战直接配合进行）作战的
Tactical Air Command （美国）战术空军司令部
squad:A squad is a section of a police force that is responsible for dealing with a particular type of crime.（专门处理某类犯罪的）警察分队
sole:belonging to or restricted to one person or group;not shared.属于或限于一人或一组人的；专有的。
throw a net: 撒网
throw a net over sb:逮到某人
我要一队作战小组，专门待命助我逮到蝙蝠侠。

Mayor：Commissioner?
Commissioner：I’ve already denied the request. Nobody’s taking a vigilante force onto my streets.
deny:if you deny someone something that they need or want,you refuse to let them have it.拒绝给予，拒绝……的要求
deny the request:拒绝请求
vigilante:自发组成的治安维持会会员，义务警察
我早已拒绝。我是不会让你们在街上乱闯的。

Detective：Your Honor, any nut case that dresses up like a bat sooner or later is gonna snap.
nut case:if you refer to someone as a nut case,you mean that they are mad or that their behavior is very strange.疯子，狂人。
dress up:装扮，打扮
sooner or later:迟早，早晚，总有一天
gonna:gonna is used in written English to represent the words ‘going to’ when they are pronounced informally.
snap:突然精神崩溃，突然失控
市长，这个疯子穿着怪里怪气的蝙蝠装到处乱来，谁知道他还会搞出什么来。
