How's the weather on Sunday? Was it cold? Any snow? Your son must had a very good time!
We took Laurence to the parade 2 years ago, it was so, so freezing cold... Since then, we decided to stay home and enjoy the parade on TV with hot choclate. We are not fun, right?

It was so cold on Sunday and in GTA as well. During the parade it was snowing! you can see in some of the pictures. My son was very exciting because this is his first time. He felt freezing and hungry. After the parade, snow stopped and he can't help going to the closest McDonald!

There is different health system in the USA and Canada. As I know every employee in the States has medical insurance paid by both employer and himself. In Canada is different, in Ontario, everyone with legal status has a Health Card, it is free to see a doctor both in hospital or family physician. But it doesn't cover the medicine. Many companies offer employee benifit to cover a certain percentage for medicine consume except most of Chinese-Canadian owned companies. Mei may know more details than me.
But I think if you guys want know the detail, it should be 2 million words :)

To respond to Jin's post, I haven't regretted my decision of moving to Canada, to be honest, I didn't put much of thoughts on that. I believe it's pointless to look back and regret every decision we made in past, the important thing is to look forward. 
I am indeed very grateful about my last 10 years life in Canada, and consider myself as a lucky person.

The dentist you talked about must have some associates in his clinic. Child support usually is a very heavy burden for the divorcee in western countries.
It's not a very accurate statement that we don't spend any money on health care here. OHIP(Ontario Health Insurance) doesn't pay all medical expenses, drug's excluded unless you are senior and with low income. Dental care, Chiropractic & Physio etc. are not covered either, however most of companies provide some level of coverage on above mentioned items as part of benefits. 
However, nothing comes cheap:-) On top of the high tax I pay by every pay check, I have to pay additional $600 dollor for Ontario Health Care program at the year end as well. 
I think the man in the documentary is really stupid to try saving the travel insurance, which's not really that expensive. I am glad that my company has benefits to cover the medical expenses occured while traveling outside of Ontario, and my corporate credit card also provides similiar coverage.
B.T.W: The documentary you watched, is it produced by Michael Moore?
