BEIJING: China today said the Sino-India border in the Sikkim sector is well demarcated and the Indian Army’s action there is a “betrayal” of the position taken by successive Indian governments.

“Former Indian Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru endorsed the 1890 Sino-British Treaty on Sikkim in a letter to the then Chinese counterpart Zhou Enlai in 1959. Successive Indian governments have also endorsed this,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said at a media briefing.

NEW DELHI: The India-China military stand-off seems set for a long haul with China responding to defence minister Arun Jaitley’s remark that India is not what it was in 1962 by saying neither was China and the developments coinciding with unusual activity of Chinese warships in the Indian Ocean.

“Indian naval satellite Rukmini (Gsat-7), long-range maritime patrol aircraft like Poseidon-8I and warships have monitored at least 13 Chinese naval units in the IOR over the last two months. They range from the latest Luyang-III class guided-missile destroyers to the more benign hydrographic research vessels,” said a source.

India lost 1962 war because of Nehru, the great looser. If planning would have been better and leader would have been great, India would still have had some better historic moments. Remember like in 1962, US will again play a defensive role by trying to keep itself away as much as possible. (They held back for 24 hours and only backed off at the last moment citing chineese had declared cease fire). India cannot match china on any front , but remember this India is really not 1962 where a useless leader could even keep supply lines for its soldiers intact. But China should remember 1962 was a one sided war, even not a war. As basing on Panchasil principles of Nehru, the Indian Govt was more focusing on the development of Indian people, as we are just coming out of a long oppressing rule of Mogul, Portuguese and British empire. By that time neither we have any military equipment nor ammunition. Since 1962 we have been wining wars against Pakistan, supported by China and in some cases USA. Let’s ready for a war. BEIJING: Chinese state media say a rocket launch has failed after unspecified abnormality during the flight.
北京：中国官方媒体称火箭发射失败，原因是飞行过程中出现了不明确的异常情况。
The official Xinhua News Agency says experts will investigate the cause of the glitch for Sunday's launch of the Long March-5 Y2, the country's second heavy-lift carrier rocket.

Video from the live broadcast showed the rocket lifting off and shooting into the sky with a voice-over indicating everything was going well. It was not clear from the live broadcast if anything went wrong.
