Chapter One: New Kid In School

　　Three girls from different background but same country, same school were 
happily discussing the University of Oxford that they all got in, on the airplane. 
Even though their parents have just see them off 5 hours ago.
 　　“I’m very excited about my new university. I heard University of Oxford have 
many facilities to ensure that students have a great time in school and also keep up 
with their work.” Joey exclaimed.
　　“Stop saying all those boring things, I just can’t wait to meet all the cute boys 
over there, just pray that not all of them are nerds.” Said Vanessa.
　　“Tell me about it.” Tomoe agreed.
　　Soon the 13-hour flight ended and they, along with their luggage, took the 
train and headed for their new home along oxford street
　　“Oh my god! Vanessa, are you sure we are at the correct place?” Joey asked, 
standing in front of their new home.
　　“Yup, this is it. Our new home.” answered Vanessa. 
　　“This house is amazing.” Tomoe remarked. Joey and Vanessa could not agree 
more.
　　The three girls raced into the house and each chose a room to put their luggage 
and started unpacking. After they finish unpacking, they took a bus and went to 
town and have dinner at a fancy restaurant named Famous Cooking.

　　“I’m stuffed. So, what we do next, since we have finish unpacking our 
luggage.” asked Tomoe, after finishing her last piece of deep-fried fish.
　　“I say we head for the supermarket over the street and buy some groceries, since 
all the furniture and electric appliances have been provided by the landlord. As we 
still have to eat tomorrow morning and not to mention we have to report to school at 
8am in the morning.” Joey suggested.
　　Tomoe and Vanessa looked at each other and nod their head. They then slowly 
amber to the supermarket in town and buy some groceries, snacks and bottles of 
water.
　　The next morning, there is a figure in the kitchen moving here and moving 
there. If you look closely, you will realize that that’s Joey preparing breakfast for 
the girls. Not long after she finish cleaning the kitchen, Tomoe and Vanessa 
appeared in the dinning room, ready to have their breakfast.
　　“Here are your breakfast.” aaid Joey. After she hand over their breakfast, she 
head upstairs to wash up and get ready for school.
　　“Aren’t you eating?” asked Vanessa, enjoying her scrambled egg and sausage 
breakfast. 
　　“I’ve eaten already, those are your breakfast. Remember to wash the plates after 
you finish. I’ll go get ready for school, we’ll leave in 30 minutes and take the 6.30 
bus to school.” Remind Joey.
　　“Yes, mam!” shouted Vanesaa and Tomoe.

　　“Riiiiinnnnnnnnggggggg” there goes the 7 o’clock school bell.
　　The girls headed for the discipline master’s office, the moment they reached 
school, not realizing the fact that many students were looking at them. The 
discipline master, Mrs Kinsella, briefly show them around the school and the places 
they will be having their classes : Vanessa and Tomoe for business and Joey for 
Science. They also saw their school’s student body president, Alex Preffison and 
vice – president, Jon Evans on the Student Announcement Board located in front of 
the principal’s office. Mrs Kinsella then brings them to their classes.
　　They then took a whole week to catch up with the class’s progress. Mrs Lorena 
York, Joey’s Biochemistry Teacher, also realized that Joey have a remarkable talent 
in creativity and innovation, she also have been very outstanding in the class’s 
performance and have inform Mrs Kinsella about Joey. Even Vanessa and Tomoe’s 
teacher have also noticed them and gave them a very positive remark to Mrs 
Kinsella.
　　As the Freshman Ball is around the corner and Mrs Kinsella have decided to 
involve the girls in the preparation of the Ball so as to give a little change into the 
traditions of Oxford.

　　“Riiiinnnnnnggggg” the school bell rang.
　　Joey walked out of class and though the school’s hallway and stop in front of 
her locker – Locker 2090, in order put her books back into her locker, while waiting 
for Tomoe and Vanessa to return to their lockers to put back their books into their 
lockers – 3208 and 3015 so they can meet at the cafeteria to go home together.
　　Just then, Alex Prefison and Jon Evans enter the hallway with girls 
surrounding them, and headed for the locker at 10 o’clock as Alex was the student 
body president and also the basketball team captain, and Jon was the vice president 
and part of the basketball team, their lockers were next to each other.
　　Jon then released that there’s a new student in school just opposite their lockers 
and nudged Alex to tell him about the new student news.
　　“Hey Alex, check it out. There’s a new babe just opposite our lockers.” Jon used 
his body language to point towards Joey.
　　“Oh, that’s Joey. She’s new here. She’s from Singapore and just start school 
last Monday.” explain Alex, as he look towards the direction that Joey.
　　“Hey dude, you know her?” asked shocked Jon.
　　“Yup, she’s in my class but she’s very quiet and did not really talk to anyone 
in class.” explain Alex as he close his locker.
