Declan has asked me to let you know that he has seen your recent email and really does appreciate you writing to him.   
  
Declan sees each of the 300+ letters and emails he gets each day, but spending just 2 minutes replying to each one, would take between 10 and 13 hours of Declan’s time every day leaving him no time to do anything else. 
  
And so Declan hopes you will understand that although he really does appreciate everything all his friends say, he is just not able to reply to every email or letter he receives, although he does try to answer as many as he can whenever he gets time.
