Brooke Shields broke down as she eulogized her very first boyfriend.
Now, for the first time, the star is revealing the true nature of her relationship with Jackson. She says Jackson actually asked her to marry him, and she turned him down. "You have me for the rest of your life, you don't need to marry me, I'm going to go on and do my own life and have my own marriage and my own kids, and you'll always have me," Shields says she told Jackson.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Shields, who famously dated Jackson when they were teens, describes the late king of pop as "asexual." "It was easy for him to be a friend to me, because I was the most celebrated virgin ever," she said.
Shields chose to attend Tuesday's historic memorial, but the other famous woman from Jackson's past, first wife Lisa Marie Presley, was notably absent. So what was their marriage really like behind the gates of Neverland?
"It didn’t seem to be a natural kind of relationship or a friendship," Sandy Dome told INSIDE EDITION.
Dome worked as Jackson's assistant for seven years. She told INSIDE EDITION in 1996 that Jackson married Presley as a media ploy to prove he was a healthy young man, in love with the daughter of an American icon.
When asked if she'd ever seen intimacy between the couple, Dome said, "No, none whatsoever."
And Jackson's former maid, Adrian McManus, once told INSIDE EDITION Jackson went to great lengths to create the illusion of intimacy.
"He would leave lingerie under his bed; I think he wanted me to think that there was something going on between him and Lisa," McManus said.
