吴妈妈30号就写好了，今天才翻译出来，实属罪过啊，一是宿舍的网络从周二开始就抽了，直到昨天晚上才正常，二是，确实是课业繁重了点，所以今早赶工，赶紧翻出来。

我母亲对赤地的回顾
So I went to see the screening of Red Earth at the HKIFF the other night. My Mom has been in town so I took her along with me. She like it so much that she went up to director Clara Law with a lot of comments. In fact she had so much to say I had to drag her away because I needed to get to a friend's party. The next day Clara suggested she write about it in my blog. So here it is:
几天前的晚上去看了赤地在香港国际电影节上的放映。恰逢妈妈在香港，所以就拖着她一道去了。妈妈对赤地的喜爱溢于言表，看完后径直走到罗卓瑶导演跟前，谈了她的一些看法。事实上妈妈当晚想说的还真多，可惜我赶着去参加朋友的派对，只好拉着她离开了。第二天罗卓瑶导演建议她可以把自己的想法通过我的博客传达出来。所以呢以下就是我妈妈所写的文章了：

For centuries, philosophers such as Socrates, Aristotle from the West and great thinkers of Taoist from the East, all pondered the mysteries of the universe, the role of ‘God’ in natural phenomena, the meaning of human existence and its relations with the earth. In recent years, dramatic changes are taking place around the world; signs of eminent collision between civilization and earth became more apparent, causing multitudes to wonder – would there be an end to all on this earth?
几个世纪以来，不管是来自西方世界的伟大哲学家，像是苏格拉底，亚里士多德，亦或是东方一些伟大的道家思想家，他们无一不思索关于世界万物之谜，“神”在自然现象中的角色定位，人类存在的意义以及它和地球之间的关系等命题。最近几年，世界范围内发生了很多惊人的变化；人类文明与地球之间碰撞的迹象也日益清晰，从而引起了大多数人的疑虑——地球上的生命万物会终结吗？
“Red Earth”, directed by the ingenious Clara Law with acting and narration by Daniel Wu, is a short film to address these eternal questions with a brilliant visual effect and haunting dialogues. The film calls for an examination of: “What does it mean to be human beings on this earth? Where are we heading in terms of environmental concerns? Is civilization really necessary if we had to poison the earth, diminishing our mental capacities, numb our senses, stifle our emotions, and destroy all things natural? If all is to end, will ‘God’ be able and willing to create the world and human beings again?”
赤地由罗卓瑶导演指导，吴彦祖解说。这部短片通过鲜明的视觉效果以及萦绕于心强烈的对话，向观众阐述了这一终极命题。电影要求了如下的几个查问：“对于生活在地球上的人类什么是重要的？在环境问题上人类前进到了哪里？如果说我们人类不得不去污染地球，衰减我们的智能，麻木自己的感知，扼杀我们的情感，毁掉这个世界上所有自然的东西，那么文明又有何必要呢？如果说一切终结的话，那么所谓的“神”，它能够重新创造世界，以及人类，并且心甘情愿吗？
In a short period of fifteen minutes, Ms. Law was able to inspire her audience to think deeply and question the ‘reality’. “ Is table a table? Is Flower a flower?” A reminder of Quantum theory, which states in part that all substance in this world are basically elements of ‘particles’; we are all particles! What counts are the proper interactions between these ‘particles’ to create a better environment for all. Aside from the powerful message, one must not neglect to enjoy the many outstanding visual photos along with the emotionally filled acting and dream like voice of Daniel Wu, which added additional value for an intelligent film completed with passion, heart and dedication as well.
在片子的短短十五分钟内，罗卓瑶女士激发起了观众的深刻思考，以及对“真实性”的质疑。“桌子就是桌子吗？花就是花吗？”量子论的暗示，某种程度上声明了世界上的所有物质，从根本上来讲是‘粒子’元素。我们都是粒子！最重要的是粒子与粒子之间适当的相互作用，才得以为我们创造一个更加和谐的环境。除了电影本身要传达的这种强有力的启示之外，观众更不能忽视掉的是一张张栩栩如生的照片，连同演员情感上饱满的表演，以及吴彦祖梦幻一般的声音表达，这些都可以算得上是附加值，同时这部寓意深刻的电影也包括了热情，勇气，以及奉献精神。
